Pediatric surgery is a specialized branch of medicine focused on surgical interventions for children, from newborns to adolescents.

At the Bloom location of the Centre Médical Mieux-Être, we provide specialized consultations and surgical care tailored to the unique needs of each young patient.

Our services include in-clinic procedures such as onychectomies for ingrown toenails and GIPS procedures for pilonidal sinus treatment, ensuring precise and appropriate care at every stage of their growth.

Register your child for a pediatric consultation

Dear parents,

Due to an elevated amount of new consultation requests, the registration is currently closed.

If we have availabilities, the registration form will reopen on this page on the first Monday of each month, at approximately 9am EST.‍

*November 2022 update — please note that we are completely full for the month of November and are unable to accept new pediatric referrals at the moment.

Pediatrics is a speciality medicine focused on treating children with a persisting medical issue. Our long-term pediatric care is primarily focused on healing children with serious or chronic health issues. Children without health problems will not be accepted, except siblings of children already followed by a doctor in our clinic, provided that your pediatrician has agreed to follow them.

If your child has a diagnosed health issue and is not specified on the request in your possession, please write to us and we will put your child on the waiting list. If your child needs an urgent pediatric consultation (other than a minor emergency, such as persistent fever, urinary tract infection, flu, acute sore throat), please ask your doctor to fax the reference directly to us at (438) 858-2077.

If your child is healthy, they should be seen by a family doctor. People who do not have a family doctor have the option of registering online at the Family Doctor Access Center (GAMF).‍

Our on-demand consultations for minor emergencies (ex: fever, cough, sore throat) are always available and open to all children, whether or not they are followed by a pediatrician from our clinic.

In order to be admissible, all new patients require a referral from a family doctor or other healthcare professional for a pediatric consult.

Please note: Patients are triaged based on the urgency of the medical attention needed. You will be contacted by a member of our clinic if yours is assigned to a pediatrician.

ATTENTION

If you wish to schedule an appointment for a child under 14 years old, please create a MYLE account using your details (those of the parent or legal guardian).

Afterward, please send us an email at info@cmme.ca to notify us of the account creation, including:
1- your name
2- your child's name
3- their RAMQ number

Please note that it is not necessary to create a portal to schedule appointments for minor emergencies and dermatology.
